Who we are
Veqtrx is an early-stage financial technology product operated by Vaibhav Iyer. Contact: contact@veqtrx.com.
What data we collect
We collect the information you provide during your assessment: your name, email address, household composition, income information, housing status, and financial circumstances. If you connect your bank account via Open Banking, we also process your transaction data to generate a spending breakdown.
Why we collect it
We process your data solely to generate your affordability assessment and budget summary. We do not use your data for marketing, credit scoring, automated decision-making, or any purpose beyond generating your assessment.
How long we keep it
Your full assessment data is held for 90 days from the date of creation. After 90 days, your personal identifiers (name and email) are anonymised and only the aggregated budget figures are retained for service improvement. You can request immediate deletion at any time via /api/revoke or by emailing us.
Who can see your data
Only you can share your assessment. You control who receives your reference ID. Veqtrx staff may access anonymised metadata for product development — but cannot decrypt the financial data itself, because the encryption key never leaves your browser (see /security for the verification).
Open Banking
If you choose to connect your bank account, we use Plaid (an FCA-authorised payment institution) to retrieve your transaction data. Plaid's privacy policy applies to this connection. Your bank credentials are never shared with Veqtrx — Plaid handles authentication directly.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, object to processing, and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@veqtrx.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for the service to function (e.g. your login session). We do not set tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. Our product analytics (PostHog) runs in cookieless mode — anonymous behavioural events are held in tab memory only and are not persisted across browser sessions.
Changes to this policy
We will notify users of material changes to this policy by email or by displaying a notice on the service.
